This year $1.62million is the first prize and we shall see if Phil Mickelson is up to the task of defending his title this year at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Officially described as: 17th, 137 yards, par 3: This signature island hole is one of the most recognisable in golf. The Championship could be won or lost here. And they are not wrong!! It really is a dream for Titleist, Nike, Taylor Made and alike- great advertising for them as players have to keep reloading on the 17th tee!!

Byron Nelson Championship - PGA Tour

Last year Scott Verplank, shot a final-round 4-under 66 on Sunday to beat Bristain's Luke Donald by one shot. Will it be as exciting at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.

Did you know that in 2007, the EDS Byron Nelson Championship played in Irving, Texas,  generated a charitable contribution of $6.4 million. That amount put the tournament over the $100 million mark in terms of all-time charitable giving, significantly more than any other Tour event.

Verizon Heritage - PGA Tour

Last year Boo Weekley won his maiden tour victory at the 2007 Verizon Heritage. After a good showing at The Masters last week, he is in a good shape to defend his title at Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Although the field has a few holes in it, with some splayers taking a break after the stresses and strains of Augusta, it is a tournament worth winning with its hertitage (sorry for the pun!) and history. And of course there is the little incentive of over $900,000 winners cheque!!

After last weeks excitement at the CA Championship, the tour moves on to New Orleans for the Zurich Classic. It is being played at the Louisiana TPC, in Avondale, Louisiana.

Last years champion, Nick Watney, will be seeking to defend his title for a share of the $6m purse.

World Golf Championship - CA Championship

Can anyone stop Tiger Woods this week at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa? Tiger is going for his fourth straight World Golf Championship, and who at the moment would bet against him?

Did you know that two of the toughest for the world's best players holes were at Doral Golf Resort & Spa, site of the World Golf Championships-CA Championship. The par-4, 18th ranked as the hardest hole on TOUR, playing at 4.625 during the 2007 event, and the par-4, 3rd ranked as the third most difficult with a 4.567 scoring average.

So will Tiger be the one to win the $1.35 million first-place prize and the Gene Sarazen Cup?
