The Senior Open Championship goes across the pond the week to The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Last weeks Senior British Open saw a tight finish with Bruce Vaughan winning in a play off. But does Greg Norman deserve the title of favourite this week or will it be the defending champion Brad Bryant who picks up the trophy?

One of the most successful players on the Champions Tour in recent years, Jay Haas, will be looking to defend his Bank of America Championship this week at the Nashawtuc Ountry Club in Concord, Massachusetts.

Jay Haas bogeyed the final two holes of the Principal Charity Classic, where he was never pressured in the final round. Haas won by three shots for his third win of last year at the Glen Oaks Country Club West Des Moines, Iowa. Can he defend his title this year and make it two in a row after last weeks PGA Seniors win against some very strong competition?
The elder statesmen of golf are also in New York state this week for the 69th Senior PGA Championship, being played at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY. Last years surprise winner Dennis Watson was very aptly quoted after winning,""Winning the Senior PGA was the most spectacular thing to happen to me in golf," Watson said. "It validated my desire to be a golf professional."
This year he might find it harder with Bernhard Langer the hot favourite to take the title !
A certain lifelong favourite of my brother, Tom Watson won the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am for his first professional victory in Florida last year, closing with a 1-under 70 in cold and windy conditions for a one-stroke margin over Jay Haas and Andy Bean on Sunday. Will he be able to defend his title, in (hopefully) some warmer weather in Florida for a share of the $1.7million prize?

Gary Player is making his Ginn Championship debut, and he will be striving to beat the defending champion Keith Fergus for the winners cheque of $375,000.
