This is the week of the 137th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. As the pinnacle of World Golf (of course I am biased!), this week really does capture the imagination of the true golfing public. As always with this Championship, the press really do hype every single UK and Irish player.
Of course last year they got it right with Padraig Harrington winning the Open. But can another repeat that feat this year? Could it be Poulter or Rose or even last weeks winner McDowell?
